Vol#1 "Tegumi Renzoku-geiko Nyumon"

Entry-level Kotekitai, Kakie & Muchimi-di two-person drills
(Not to be confused with Tegumi/Okinawan Sumo)

The flow drills unique to Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo-jutsu are now available on digital step-by-step instructional DVD (running time 90 minutes.) The first in a series of of instructional presentations by Master Level Instructor Patrick McCarthy, this digital presentation introduces the learner to the art of Tegumi Renzoku-geiko: Brought together by Patrick McCarthy, here are a series of unique drills, which range from checking, trapping, & blocking, to locking joints, twisting bones, seizing cavities & impacting specific pressure points. Introducing the learner to the first set of 12 exercises, this unique practice is a must for all serious enthusiasts and transcends the boundaries of "styles"
Tegumi links fundamental technique to its corresponding defensive themes & application principles while identifying associated pressure points. One of the fastest growing new/old practices, Tegumi kicks open the door to discovering kata application without adversely effecting the signature characteristics of one's own style or system.

McCarthy Sensei, I am slowly working my way through your DVD catalogue and I must say they continue to impress me. Its exactly what it says on the package (which is a nice change - not novice stuff but years of study for Dan grade students). I am in the progress of adopting several of your drills in our training programme - with lots of positive feedback from the Dan grades. The majority of my Dan grades are serving police officers and they have certainly bought into the principles you teach. Believe me, this is a highly critical audience who would let me know if they thought any of your stuff wouldn't work! I also give you credit as the source of the drills, which may be unusual - it certainly was for one of my previous teachers! I have been highly amused by some of the negative Youtube comments your videos attracted. It simply proves the wisdom of the saying, "Why be upset when a dog barks at you?" Paper tigers would never step into the void or ever put themselves in that position. Your teaching does make sense, it makes karate come alive. I could be wrong but, in my opinion, most people want to learn a martial art that actually works. Unfortunately, most people buy into a story at most karate schools, which in reality are run by paper tigers or as a corporation/business. I can't wait for you to release more DVDs and books. - Neil Muirhead, Risca Karate, Wales
