The KU Kata curriculum should be considered MANDATORY study for KU teachers and students alike -- as well as for any learners making the transition from an existing style over to KU. Hanshi - Took me a while to collect my thoughts, after being glued to my computer for 20 hours NON STOP to watch all your DVDs. After that I watched them over and over again. I did expect a lot but what I've seen was beyond anything I'd had imagined. I thoroughly enjoyed your very knowledgeable and humorous explanation on kata theory, tegumi drills and bunkai on the first 8 DVDs. However, after seeing DVDs 9 thru 14, I was totally blown away by the amount, depth and detailed information presented. I have been doing similar drills and techniques before, but the context you presented the material in, its research value and ability to learn from the extensive flow drills covering different aspects of combat is something I have never seen  before. I find these DVDs to be most educational source on karate ever - which so many of us have been searching for.
