The Okinawan Surname, Kinjo
In Okinawa the family surname, Kinjo [also, Kaneshiro, Kanagusuku] is as common as Smith and Jones in the USA. There are and have been several well known Okinawan Bujin with the surname, Kinjo. Although there is a connection, Kinjo Hiroshi should not be confused with the following;

In May of 2007 nearly two-hundred people, from all over Japan, the Ryukyus, USA, The UK and EU, gathered in Tokyo to honour my teacher, Kinjo Hiroshi, on his 88th birthday.
